Temps on earth

With God we conquer

(for Him!)

We must learn not to fight for ourselves
As we are known to be in a losing battle
--The devil owns all things we have access to
We are here renting, to fight for God
We are here to fight for God's cause

No one serving as a soldier gets involved in civilian affairs—he wants to please his commanding officer.

Yield your life to what is best for the cause of Christ so that He may do as He pleases with you.

The holy community

Dont bother to rise in the ranks of the unholy. Both Ecclesiastes and Proverbs state that it is better to live in the dirt than associate with these people.

We are to live in the biblical world, which does not include telepathy. It does not include ridiculous levels of self-development, which is completely useless for Christians and is a form of dependence on works.

The unholy have little and grasp for power, they become bigger and more violent. This path is a waste and to be avoided. We must live in a holy community for that reason and leave the wicked alone.

The Glorification of Christ and His Acceptance by God is the Source of Love

The prisoners held in dungeons were full of joy.

They have no reliance on the outer world.

Their souls are fed by the holiness of Christ and obediance to the master.

They Want Something that they Cannot Be

The Blessed of the Lord

Watchman, tell us of the night,
What its signs of promise are.
Traveler, o’er yon mountain’s height,
See that glory beaming star.
Watchman, does its beauteous ray
Aught of joy or hope foretell?
Traveler, yes—it brings the day,
Promised day of Israel.

Watchman, tell us of the night;
Higher yet that star ascends.
Traveler, blessedness and light,
Peace and truth its course portends.
Watchman, will its beams alone
Gild the spot that gave them birth?
Traveler, ages are its own;
See, it bursts o’er all the earth.

Watchman, tell us of the night,
For the morning seems to dawn.
Traveler, darkness takes its flight,
Doubt and terror are withdrawn.
Watchman, let thy wanderings cease;
Hie thee to thy quiet home.
Traveler, lo! the Prince of Peace,
Lo! the Son of God is come!

So thou, O son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word at my mouth, and warn them from me.
Ezekiel 33:7

We as a christian community have failed our duty. We do not have the power to heal the sick. We are not self-supporting.

I cannot be with anyone

At that moment the sun touched the blood-red petals so that they shone more vividly than ever, and a little whisper rustled from the leaves.

My name is Bearing-the-Cost, but some call me Forgiveness.
Then Much-Afraid recalled the words of the Shepherd, On the way up the precipice you will discover the next letter in the alphabet of Love. Begin to practice it at once.

She gazed at the little flower and said, Why call you that?

Once more, a little whispering laugh passed through the leaves, and she thought she heard them say, I was separated from all my companions, exiled from home, carried here and imprisoned in this rock. It was not my choice, but the work of others who, when they had dropped me here, went away and left me to bear the results of what they had done.

I have borne and not fainted; I have not ceased to love,
and Love helped me push through this crack in the rock
until I could look right out onto my Love the sun himself.
See now! There is nothing whatever between my Love and my heart,
nothing around to distract me from him.
He shines upon me and makes me to rejoice,
and has atoned to me for all that was taken from me and done against me.
There is no flower in all the world more blessed or more satisfied than I,
for I look up to him as a weaned child and say,

Whom have I in heaven but thee, and there is none upon earth that I desire but thee.

Isaiah 63

And I looked,
and there was none to help;
and I wondered that there was none to uphold:
therefore mine own arm brought salvation unto me; and my fury, it upheld me.

And I will tread down the people in mine anger, and make them drunk in my fury, and I will bring down their strength to the earth.

For the day of vengeance is in mine heart, and the year of my redeemed is come.

No Power but Faith

Power on earth is not our priority.

We accept what God provides for us and we share with the holy community.

Power, Rank, and Importance are evil to us (unless God has called us to it and wants us to use it for His work).

We accomplish all things through God, not ourselves or others. Remember that cursed is the man that trusts in man!!

So he said to me, "This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: 'Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,' says the LORD Almighty.

Neither was there any among them that lacked

The record declares, "Neither was there any among them that lacked," and it tells how the need was filled. Those among the believers who had money and possessions cheerfully sacrificed them to meet the emergency. Selling their houses or their lands, they brought the money and laid it at the apostles' feet, "and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need."

This liberality on the part of the believers was the result of the outpouring of the Spirit. The converts to the gospel were "of one heart and of one soul." One common interest controlled them--the success of the mission entrusted to them; and covetousness had no place in their lives.

Acts of the Apostles, Ellen White

It is the nature of error to resort to force instead of argument

The Burning of Rawlins White

Rawlins White was by his calling and occupation a fisherman, living and continuing in the said trade for the space of twenty years at least, in the town of Cardiff, where he bore a very good name amongst his neighbors.

Though the good man was altogether unlearned, and withal very simple, yet it pleased God to remove him from error and idolatry to a knowledge of the truth, through the blessed Reformation in Edward's reign.

He had his son taught to read English, and after the little boy could read pretty well, his father every night after supper, summer and winter, made the boy read a portion of the Holy Scriptures, and now and then a part of some other good book.

When he had continued in his profession the space of five years, King Edward died, upon whose decease Queen Mary succeeded and with her all kinds of superstition crept in. White was taken by the officers of the town, as a man suspected of heresy, brought before the Bishop Llandaff, and committed to prison in Chepstow, and at last removed to the castle of Cardiff, where he continued for the space of one whole year.

Being brought before the bishop in his chapel, he counselled him by threats and promises. But as Rawlins would in no wise recant his opinions, the bishop told him plainly that he must proceed against him by law, and condemn him as a heretic. Before they proceeded to this extremity, the bishop proposed that prayer should be said for his conversion.

"This," said White, "is like a godly bishop, and if your request be godly and right, and you pray as you ought, no doubt God will hear you; pray you, therefore, to your God, and I will pray to my God." After the bishop and his party had done praying, he asked Rawlins if he would now revoke.

"You find," said the latter, "your prayer is not granted, for I remain the same; and God will strengthen me in support of this truth." After this, the bishop tried what saying Mass would do; but Rawlins called all the people to witness that he did not bow down to the host. Mass being ended, Rawlins was called for again; to whom the bishop used many persuasions; but the blessed man continued so steadfast in his former profession that the bishop's discourse was to no purpose.

The bishop now caused the definitive sentence to be read, which being ended, Rawlins was carried again to Cardiff, to a loathsome prison in the town, called Cockmarel, where he passed his time in prayer, and in the singing of Psalms. In about three weeks the order came from town for his execution.

When he came to the place, where his poor wife and children stood weeping, the sudden sight of them so pierced his heart, that the tears trickled down his face. Being come to the altar of his sacrifice, in going toward the stake, he fell down upon his knees, and kissed the ground; and in rising again, a little earth sticking on his face, he said these words.

"Earth unto earth, and dust unto dust; thou art my mother, and unto thee I shall return."When all things were ready, directly over against the stake, in the face of Rawlins White, there was a stand erected, whereon stepped up a priest, addressing himself to the people, but, as he spoke of the Romish doctrines of the Sacraments, Rawlins cried out, "Ah! thou wicked hypocrite, dost thou presume to prove thy false doctrine by Scripture?

Look in the text that followeth; did not Christ say, 'Do this in remembrance of me?'"Then some that stood by cried out, "Put fire! set on fire!" which being done, the straw and reeds cast up a great and sudden flame.

In which flame this good man bathed his hands so long, until such time as the sinews shrank, and the fat dropped away, saving that once he did, as it were, wipe his face with one of them. All this while, which was somewhat long, he cried with a loud voice, "O Lord, receive my spirit!" until he could not open his mouth.

At last the extremity of the fire was so vehement against his legs that they were consumed almost before the rest of his body was hurt, which made the whole body fall over the chains into the fire sooner than it would have done. Thus died this good old man for his testimony of God's truth, and is now rewarded, no doubt, with the crown of eternal life.

Pacifism

A young sergeant was serving the British army in Egypt under the Highland Regiment.
This soldier was an effervescent and shining Christian.

When he was asked how he came to know the Lord Jesus as Savior, he recounted his conversion by saying, "
There is a private in this company who was converted in Malta before the regiment came to Egypt. We gave that fellow an awful time. On one terrible night he came in very tired and wet. But before getting into bed, he knelt down to pray. My boots were soaked with water and covered with mud, and I let him have it with one on the side of his head, and I struck him with the second on the other side. But he just went on praying. The next morning I found those boots beautifully polished and standing by the side of my bed. That was his reply to me, and it just broke my heart. I was saved that day."

Our response to those who lie against us must never be to lash out against them. As we arise early in the morning, perhaps after a day in which our character has been slandered and our conduct has been slashed, we must arise with a commitment to live a life like the Lord Jesus who, when He was reviled, reviled not again. Only then will we live happily in a world filled with unhappy people.

Rape of the Sacred

On no level are they to consider me a part of their games.

I am not theirs to discuss, I am not there to interact with them. I am only there to offer them Jesus.

They are not supposed to touch me or rape me spiritually

Christians marry Christ at Baptism

And because I do not want intercourse, I should not be forced to interact.

There is separation of government and religion for that reason.

The Christian Future

Driven to worship in the forests and the mountains, they were hunted by soldiers, and many were put to death. After a time it was decreed that all who departed from the Romish worship should be burned. But while the Christians yielded up their lives, they looked forward to the triumph of their cause. One of those who "taught that salvation was only to be found by faith in the crucified Saviour," declared when dying: "The rage of the enemies of the truth now prevails against us, but it will not be forever; there shall arise one from among the common people, without sword or authority, and against him they shall not be able to prevail." -- Ibid., b. 3, ch. 1.

Real work (eternal)

I would like to do religious or charity work, work that does not interfere with your ability to pray and that can be an offering to God.
(Some with other talents are called to other work. )
This is the only way the holy spirit can continue to guide, as you can dedicate the work to Him each day.

Christian Economy

The source of the money and the occupation need to be distinct! If there is a need for separation from the job, there should be an umbrella organization that supports the temporary exclusion from work and the necessary move to another situation.

Job 35.1

Elihu spake moreover, and said,

Thinkest thou this to be right, that thou saidst, My righteousness is more than God’s?

For thou saidst, What advantage will it be unto thee? and, What profit shall I have, if I be cleansed from my sin?

I will answer thee, and thy companions with thee.

Look unto the heavens, and see; and behold the clouds which are higher than thou.

If thou sinnest, what doest thou against him? or if thy transgressions be multiplied, what doest thou unto him?

If thou be righteous, what givest thou him? or what receiveth he of thine hand?

Thy wickedness may hurt a man as thou art; and thy righteousness may profit the son of man.

The Purpose of Christianity

And all that believed were together, and had all things common;

And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all [men], as every man had need.

And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,

Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

Acts 2.44

Organized Christianity

[Just in front of our printing office] is a large park of many acres, reserved by the government for military drill. Here day after day, at certain seasons of the year, we see the soldiers training. They are drilled in all the duties of the army, so that in case of war they may be ready at the call of the government to engage in actual service. For hours, soldiers are drilled to disencumber themselves of their knapsacks, and place them quickly in position again upon the person. They are taught how to stack their arms, and how to seize them quickly. They are drilled in making a charge as against the enemy, and are trained in all kinds of maneuvers. Thus the drill goes on, preparing men for any emergency. And should those who are fighting the battle for Prince Immanuel be less earnest and painstaking in their preparation for the spiritual warfare? Those who engage in this great work must take part in the drill. They must educate themselves to obey, before they are fitted to command.

The Church Does Not Fall
Satan will work his miracles to deceive; he will set up his power as supreme. The church may appear as about to fall, but it does not fall. It remains, while the sinners in Zion will be sifted out--the chaff separated from the precious wheat. This is a terrible ordeal, but nevertheless it must take place. None but those who have been overcoming by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony will be found with the loyal and true, without spot or stain of sin, without guile in their mouths. We must be divested of our self-righteousness and arrayed in the righteousness of Christ.-- Selected Messages, book 2, pp. 379, 380.

Christ's Commendation to the Merciful
In the providence of God events have been so ordered that the poor are always with us, in order that there may be a constant exercise in the human heart of the attributes of mercy and love. Man is to cultivate the tenderness and compassion of Christ; he is not to separate himself from the sorrowing, the afflicted, the needy, and the distressed.-- Signs of the Times, June 13, 1892.

from Ellen White's writings

Christian Defense

Because of their murmuring against Him, the Lord suffered them to be attacked by their enemies. The Amalekites, a fierce, warlike tribe inhabiting that region, came out against them and smote those who, faint and weary, had fallen into the rear. Moses, knowing that the masses of the people were unprepared for battle, directed Joshua to choose from the different tribes a body of soldiers, and lead them on the morrow against the enemy, while he
Page 299himself would stand on an eminence near by with the rod of God in his hand.

Their assault was wholly unprovoked. It was to manifest their hatred and defiance of God that they sought to destroy His people. The Amalekites had long been high-handed sinners, and their crimes had cried to God for vengeance, yet His mercy had still called them to repentance; but when the men of Amalek fell upon the wearied and defenseless ranks of Israel, they sealed their nation's doom. The care of God is over the weakest of His children. No act of cruelty or oppression toward them is unmarked by Heaven. Over all who love and fear Him, His hand extends as a shield; let men beware that they smite not that hand; for it wields the sword of justice.

To maintain order and discipline among that vast, ignorant, and untrained multitude was indeed a stupendous task. Moses was their recognized leader and magistrate, and not only the general interests and duties of the people, but the controversies that arose among them, were referred to him.

Holy Spirits and Unclean Spirits, Obediance to God

Christians are only to share their spirit with other Christians

They are never to fellowship with indeterminate types of spirits

They are never even really to associate with these types, because of the corrupting influence

Christians are supposed to offer to the general community assistance and opportunity to join.

That is all.

Jesus does not approve of nonsense. The Amish and Hasidic are smart, possibly because of persecution.

Spiritually, the unholy live like rats in a dirty cage, and when they see a christian who lives in the freedom of Christ , they rub themselves on them because of their separateness. They are of course not willing to pay the cost of being Christian.

Groups always harrass outsiders, so this is why the Christian must be persecuted to be true.

If not you know you've missed.

Christianity

No home, no honor, no power

The true experience with the Christian's God is a crushing re-adjustment to the higher mind.

I am the man that hath seen affliction by the rod of his wrath.
He hath led me, and brought me into darkness, but not into light.
Surely against me is he turned; he turneth his hand against me all the day.
My flesh and my skin hath he made old; he hath broken my bones.
He hath builded against me, and compassed me with gall and travail.
He hath set me in dark places, as they that be dead of old.
He hath hedged me about, that I cannot get out: he hath made my chain heavy. Also when I cry and shout, he
shutteth out my prayer.
He hath inclosed my ways with hewn stone, he hath made my paths crooked.
He was unto me as a bear lying in wait, and as a lion in secret places.
He hath turned aside my ways, and pulled me in pieces: he hath made me desolate.
He hath bent his bow, and set me as a mark for the arrow.
He hath caused the arrows of his quiver to enter into my reins.
I was a derision to all my people; and their song all the day.
He hath filled me with bitterness, he hath made me drunken with wormwood.
He hath also broken my teeth with gravel stones, he hath covered me with ashes.
And thou hast removed my soul far off from peace: I forgat prosperity.
And I said, My strength and my hope is perished from the LORD:
Remembering mine affliction and my misery, the wormwood and the gall.
My soul hath them still in remembrance, and is humbled in me

Perfection through Suffering

The Lord has a great work to be done, and He will bequeath the most in the future life to those who do the most faithful, willing service in the present life. The Lord chooses His own agents, and each day under different circumstances He gives them a trial in His plan of operation. In each true-hearted endeavor to work out His plan, He chooses His agents not because they are perfect but because, through a connection with Him, they may gain perfection.

Conformity to the World

Conformity to the world and harmony with Christ cannot be maintained. Worldly maxims and worldly practices sap spirituality from heart and life. Conformity to the world means resemblance to the world in meeting the world's standard. . . . No man can serve the world and Jesus Christ at the same time. There is an irreconcilable antagonism, between Christ and the world.

The purpose of simplicity and adherence to moderation in attitudes towards others

[At the end of the Puritan age] by some means or other, first the ministers, then the Churches, got on "the down grade," and in some cases, the descent was rapid, and in all, very disastrous. In proportion as the ministers seceded from the old Puritan godliness of life, and the old Calvinistic form of doctrine, they commonly became less earnest and less simple in their preaching, more speculative and less spiritual in the matter of their discourses, and dwelt more on the moral teachings of the New Testament, than on the great central truths of revelation. Natural theology frequently took the place which the great truths of the gospel ought to have held, and the sermons became more and more Christless. Corresponding results in the character and life, first of the preachers and then of the people, were only too plainly apparent.

Turn your mind away from romantic projects. You mingle with your religion a romantic, lovesick sentimentalism, which does not elevate, but only lowers. The physical manifestation of his will

We never worship or pray to the unseen or spiritual

WE worship God only!

Beauty = Death

We must purify darkness.

M. THeresa, Audrey Hepburn, Diana

these women spent their time with the poor.

But it is our development to straighten crooked paths, heal the sick, to strengthen.

We must find beauty in what is not beautiful and contentment in difficult situations. We should not take beauty but give beauty.

We are surrounded by very lazy people who do not want to accept and love the un-beautiful. They refuse to be moderate and they refuse to do the basic work of decency.

Skillful Design

We must also love our feet and enjoy mundane duties.

There must be a recognition that because of life's imperfections we learn to create beauty in all circumstances and situations.

It is not poverty or wealth that brings enjoyment, but the mindset. Those who are content and enjoy even the imperfect will always be full of grace.

Ugly people have other resources than their looks. Poor people as well. This life is about skillful design. We are given a variety of tools and resources and are watched to see what kind of lives we create. We must love the spirit and do our duty despite imperfections.

This is how we become like God, this is our training. Because He must as he creates maintain the wholeness and the beauty of soul. God is still perfect, this little imperfection of sin is also part of the perfection.

How Satan gloated on the thought that he should destroy the church, and exalt his darlings to honors in the place of those who loved the Lord.

Daily Deliverance for the Family of God

Sometimes God has suffered the enemy to exact upon us, and the sword has been use with terrible effect. O, there have been dark and gloomy days for the chosen church of Christ! When persecution has cried, "Havoc, and let slip the dogs of war," blood has flowed like water over the land! our enemies have triumphed. the martyr was bound to the stake, or was crucified upon the tree; the pastor was cut off, and the flocks were scattered.

Cruel torture—awful suffering was endured by the saints of God. The elect cried, and said, "O Lord, how long? let it repent thee concerning thy servants." The enemy laughed, and said, "Ah, ah! so would we have it." Zion was under a cloud. Her precious saints, comparable to fine gold, were esteemed as earthen vessels, the work of the hands of the potter, and her princes were trodden down like mire in the streets.

O, my soul! how was it in that sad day, when the enemy came in upon her like a flood, and she could scarcely lift up the standard of the Lord against him?

O God, there was an hour when thou wouldst not hear the cry of thine elect! It seemed as if thine ear was deaf; the plaint of the widow was unheeded; the groans, the agonies, and the cries of martyrs were unnoticed; and thou didst still allow the enemy to vex thy children.

Persecution shook the land, and sent forth its burning lava of cruelty, devastating the fair fields of the church of God. But did the enemy prosper? Did he succeed? Did persecution destroy his church? Did the weapon formed against us prosper? No!

Each time that the church had a wave pass over her she rose out of it, and lifted her fair countenance, fair as the moon, and terrible as an army with banners. She was all the more glorious for it all. Every time her blood was shed each drop became a man, and each man thus converted stood prepared to pour out the vital current from his veins to defend the cause.

Ah! those were times when, instead of the church being diminished and brought low, God did multiply her, and persecution worked for her good instead of causing her evil.

Spurgeon's Sermons www.spurgeon.org

We cannot subject ourselves to spiritual deceptions

Do not be tricked into believing that you have a secular spiritual community

Our community is in heaven
On earth we only have a physical community, and so we must speak.
Do not listen to spiritual conversations, as this is not a Christian way.

Strict Obedience requires reliance on God ONLY

"You have discarded the old nature with its deeds and have put on the new nature." (Col 3:10 NEB)

The devil tries to suggest unholy actions

Regardless of who has joined the devil
We must stand with God

Ignore the incorrect thinking of those who surround you. They are not your source, but Christ. They are fallible beings, and unless in a relationship with God, they are not to be relied on. They do not have the strength on their own to support your STRICT OBEDIANCE to God's will.

Ignore any outward appearances -- people who are rich, attractive, well-connected are as useless as the rest. Do not be distracted by what they seem to be.

As Christians our commission is to obey our convictions as they apply to God in His holiness. At any point in which we see that we might disobey God, we must avoid wrong.

If sorcerers try to communicate with you in their language, Christians are never to respond, let alone learn the language. It will separate us from God.

Our company is Holy and eternal, there is no need to adjust to the transient mob.

Why it is important to speak and remove this interaction from a spiritual level

Usually when you push back the children of God, You push back the presence of God.

This is why it is important for the children of God to stand their ground.

Because the devil wants you out of the way.

It is a sin because in deferring SPIRITUALLY, you block the Holy spirit

And allow the unholy to enter in.

Mary Pondered

We give the devil freedom

To twist our lives into
Uncertain paths

But we are ambassadors of Christ

God has allowed us to be necessary

A conduit of His will

As Jesus said, the rocks and stones will cry out
If we do not

But we will

Blessed people who God remembers

Blessed is he that blesses you, and cursed is he who curses you!

While they refuse to call a blessing upon you,
We bless you in the name of God.

Numbers 24.9, Psalm 129.8 New American Bible

God does not change

On your feet, Balak. Listen,
listen carefully son of Zippor:
God is not man, one given to lies,
and not a son of man changing his mind.
Does he speak and not do what he says?
Does he promise and not come through?
I was brought here to bless;
and now he's blessed—how can I change that?
He has no bone to pick with Jacob,
he sees nothing wrong with Israel.
God is with them,
and they're with him, shouting praises to their King.
God brought them out of Egypt,
rampaging like a wild ox.
No magic spells can bind Jacob,
no incantations can hold back Israel.
People will look at Jacob and Israel and say,
"What a great thing has God done!"
Look, a people rising to its feet, stretching like a lion,
a king-of-the-beasts, aroused,
Unsleeping, unresting until its hunt is over
and it's eaten and drunk its fill.

Numbers 23:18-20 (The Message Bible)

Inhumanity and infestations

The difference between a government and an infestation is in its ability to be fair and non-intrusive to its citizens.

Unqualified for self-exaltation

Our consciences are our warning signals.

They are based on what we have been taught as human beings, and to go against what we know is right, is to fail our purpose.

By doing what we know is wrong we create negative and unstable structures that do not accomplish but cause deterioration

This is a basic part of the human psyche and to do what you believe you shouldn't for personal gain

God says to repent. To admit wrong, and turn away from this action.
Confess and admit to those you have wronged, and cause no harm.

Basic management of variety is all that is necessary if dominance is required. Primitive macho-ness is not excellence.

Andromeda -- Gerard Manley Hopkins

Now Time’s Andromeda on this rock rude,
With not her either beauty’s equal or
Her injury’s, looks off by both horns of shore,
Her flower, her piece of being, doomed dragon’s food.
Time past she has been attempted and pursued
By many blows and banes; but now hears roar
A wilder beast from West than all were, more
Rife in her wrongs, more lawless, and more lewd.

Her Perseus linger and leave her tó her extremes?—
Pillowy air he treads a time and hangs
His thoughts on her, forsaken that she seems,
All while her patience, morselled into pangs,
Mounts; then to alight disarming, no one dreams,
With Gorgon’s gear and barebill, thongs and fangs.

D'Invilliers -- Then Wear the Gold Hat

Bring me a blank piece of paperMake it blank so I can write down all that I want about you
Bring me a black pen – no, make it blueI know that’s your favorite color too
I worry about the past like youI think about the future too.

I sat here on this chairWiggled ‘round a bitAnd sometimes stared
That’s you on the wall right therePick up jeans and braided hair

Just twist with me, just turn with meJust stroll the streets alone with meYou don’t have to burn it with a pen and paperBut if you do, be good to me

Wear the Gold Hat if that will move herIf you can bounce high, Bounce for her tooTill she cry, “Gold-Hatted lover I must have you.”

Wear the Gold Hat if that will move herIf you can bounce high, Bounce for her tooTill she cry, “Lover, Gold-Hatted High-Bouncing Lover I must have you.”

I know the truth dies with the lies that we forget
I know that these eyes look in your eyes every chance they get

This is the story of the greatest of the mornings from the summer rain
This is the story of the way that you talked, the way that she talked
And I just look at her….

Wear the Gold Hat if that will move herIf you can bounce high, Bounce for her tooTill she cry, “Gold-Hatted lover I must have you.”

Wear the Gold Hat if that will move herAnd you will bounce high for her tooTill she cry, “I must have you, I must have you, I must have you.”

Bring me a blank piece of paperBring me a penI’d like the blue one againDon’t you worry about the sentencesI can’t write them out ‘til I’m back again

The fragility of human will

"A great number of wise men is the protection of the world." Wisdom 24?

How awful that the stability of the world depends on the thinking of men who can be coerced or manipulated.

Human Limitations - the uselessness of microscopic cellphones

But go and learn what this means: 'I desire mercy, not sacrifice.' For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners." Matthew 9.13

To be perfect I could avoid gray, but my perfection is a conversation with a Higher being, and not a tangible thing.

We are still stained, not in behavior, but by assignment. So, in Christianity, perfect behavior is not of value (for salvation, but for sanctification).

If someone in the rain finds shelter in an abandoned building, it is fine. We are human and it is a blessing to share even if unknowingly. This is why I sometimes leave money in unusual places -- you never know how someone's life may be blessed.

We share the crumbs of our lives -- they fall even when we don't see.

A limit is necessary so that we are open to human need.

And so magnanimity is best.

Straight Paths

Heb 12:13 And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed.

With liquid thinking the world becomes a tangled mass around you.

With acknowledgment of unholy spiritual powers your life becomes subject to these powers.

Stop suffering for voodoo's sake, and do what is asked and sensible! (trusting God and the sensible Christian community).

A Warning Rejected

The social gets in the way of spiritual

Jesus said drop everything!! For that reason

The social realm (whether silent or spoken) has its sphere,
but for Christians no spiritual authority at all.

Because it has chosen the darker destructive path

I Died For Beauty

I died for beauty, but was scarce
Adjusted in the tomb,
When one who died for truth was lain
In an adjoining room.

He questioned softly why I failed?
"For beauty," I replied."
And I for truth - the two are one;
We brethren are," he said.

And so, as kinsmen met a-night,
We talked between the rooms,
Until the moss had reached our lips,
And covered up our names.

Valley of Decision

God be merciful to me.

Pour out your remembrance

On the mosaic of souls

that surround the earth

and cover its darkness

Let us find a clear purpose

and focus on a lighter and holier place

so that we may be one with you

and shine too.

Brain restructuring

They are trying to take my brain down today. They cut off a blood vessel on the top of my brain- something at the base of my spine and neck.

My brain has been dying for several years because of these sequential poisoning and the stress.

We are foolish not to discuss all anxieties in detail with each other. There is no point speaking in a code that exists to cover emotions.

It is not difficult to create communities that allow us to worship who we please and live lives that are not destructive and negative. Every pioneer in the wild west brought with them all that they needed to survive. They created grocery stores, hotels, banks, farms -- everything that they needed to maintain their independence. I do not believe any other answer is acceptable for God's people.

It is not wise to allow other forces to take over your emotional and spiritual lives.

God makes us responsible for spiritiual choices. If we are sick we need to try to heal ourselves. If we have brain diseases we are also subject to infirmities. But we must avoid 1.evil (spirit) 2.sickness (flesh) as much as we are able.

Real class

Classes should be divided by how much harm a person is willing to cause others or can be induced to cause others under the right circumstances.

Regardless of monetary value those who are respectable and decent should be separated from those who are not.

Perhaps education (or a love of learning for those with less means) should also be a criteria.

The appeal of paganism

During the French Revolution the aristocracy was forced to scramble for existence. During a spiritual equivalent of the French Revolution with dirty peasants roaming through spiritual palaces, I am sure that it will be essential for people not to turn away from what is right or join the unholy.

I hate vain thoughts, but thy law do I love. Ps 119.113

Who are the dogs

"Give not that which is holy unto the dogs," Matthew 7:6.

Jesus here refers to a class who have no desire to escape from the slavery of sin. By indulgence in the corrupt and vile their natures have become so degraded that they cling to the evil and will not be separated from it. The servants of Christ should not allow themselves to be hindered by those who would make the gospel only a matter of contention and ridicule.

But the Saviour never passed by one soul, however sunken in sin, who was willing to receive the precious truths of heaven.

[And suffer as Christ stated that we would].

The Time of Trouble

Satan will excite to still greater intensity the spirit of hatred and persecution

People do not realize that in order to create a spiritual condition he is willing to pull them along by all kinds of deceptive lies

The Great Controversy, Ellen G White

When God's presence was finally withdrawn from the Jewish nation, priests and people knew it not. Though under the control of Satan, and swayed by the most horrible and malignant passions, they still regarded themselves as the chosen of God. The ministration in the temple continued; sacrifices were offered upon its polluted altars, and daily the divine blessing was invoked upon a people guilty of the blood of God's dear Son and seeking to slay His ministers and apostles. So when the irrevocable decision of the sanctuary has been pronounced and the destiny of the world has been forever fixed, the inhabitants of the earth will know it not. The forms of religion will be continued by a people from whom the Spirit of God has been finally withdrawn; and the satanic zeal with which the prince of evil will inspire them for the accomplishment of his malignant designs, will bear the semblance of zeal for God.

The Time of Trouble

The Great Controversy, page 614, paragraph 1

When He leaves the sanctuary, darkness covers the inhabitants of the earth. In that fearful time the righteous must live in the sight of a holy God without an intercessor. The restraint which has been upon the wicked is removed, and Satan has entire control of the finally impenitent. God's long-suffering has ended. The world has rejected His mercy, despised His love, and trampled upon His law. The wicked have passed the boundary of their probation; the Spirit of God, persistently resisted, has been at last withdrawn. Unsheltered by divine grace, they have no protection from the wicked one. Satan will then plunge the inhabitants of the earth into one great, final trouble. As the angels of God cease to hold in check the fierce winds of human passion, all the elements of strife will be let loose.
Wisdom's ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace."

From Jesus Christ Superstar

Simon:
There must be over fifty thousand
Screaming love and more for you
And everyone of fifty thousand
Would do whatever you ask him to

Keep them yelling their devotion
But add a touch of hate at Rome
You will rise to a greater power
We will win ourselves a home
You'll get the power and the glory
For ever and ever and ever
For you'll get the power and the glory
For ever and ever and ever
You'll get the power and the glory
For ever and ever and ever (Amen! Amen!)
For ever and ever and ever (Amen! Amen!)
For ever and ever and ever (Amen! Amen!)
For ever and ever and ever (Amen! Amen!)
For ever and ever and ever (Amen! Amen!)

Excellent although I now recognize as somewhat sacriligious

Lawlessness -- Its your own fault

lawlessness
The antichrist is the lawless one it says in the Bible.
If they substitute llamas for people then normal people should take charge of the stupidly - behaving people.
Also will have to form a society WITHOUT the stupid people
Also should not even bother to interact within STUPID peoples society and false rules
because it just makes it grow
If people, for example, should make a rule that you have to rub their privates before you interact with them.
Just find less stupid to interact with, ie People who think that kind of behavior is disgusting.
THere is no reason to accept a broken misshapen society.
Ignore what you lose and find other normals.
They did it in the wild west ALL THE TIME
People who continue to enable this awful situation are stupid and become even more so as time passes.

The flawed earth

How sad the human animal outruns its own maturity increasing in knowledge before controlling its passion and ego.

It is like the tragic flaw of a youthful hero, the earth decaying before it could blossom.

I invented the cup, yesterday! SERiously.

It is an obnoxious error for any modern culture to claim ownership of cultural knowledge.

All Modern cultures (and also American culture) borrowed much their culture from the rest of the world and usually upgraded the materials from which these things were made. (cups, doors, curtains, beds)

Suddenly all culture is Euro-based. Actually it is only that the European culture is newest. Technological advances aside (from 1900 on) there is little ownership only contribution.

In the same way all European and World culture is mine and will be enhanced by what I add to it.

Familial and spiritual knowledge is another matter.

ALSO, In 4000 BC the 10 million people on earth created inventions in proportion to their numbers. Today with 6 billion there has to be a proportional increase in the frequency of creative ideas.

Wandering Prophets

Apparently human beings, when they try to maintain any kind of standard, become insufferable boobs.

Any kind of comparison any kind of avoidance ends in pride and eventually violence because each one of us tries to have good standards but they always require pride to maintain.

Christianity only allows us to maintain the standard of avoiding those who reject God.

Can any standard be upheld without pride?

We become meaningless in society without maintaining our standing.

Are we all to be wandering prophets?

Stop harassing me

Jesus called them together and said, "You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their high officials exercise authority over them.

Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant,

and whoever wants to be first must be your slave—

just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many."

Matt 20.25-28

Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?

And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.

2 Corinthians 6:14

The weak of heart

People who limit their recognition of beauty may as well not understand beauty at all because it is not beauty that they love, but the approval of others.

What caused this anger and grief? It was their hardness of heart.

This is an excerpt from a sermon by Spurgeon.

What was their exact fault?

First, they would not see, though the case was clear. He had set the truth so plainly before them that they were obliged to strain their understandings to avoid being convinced: they had to draw down the blinds of the soul, and put up the shutters of the mind, to be able not to see. There are none so blind as those that will not see, and these were of that blindest order; they were blind people that had eyes and boasted that they could see, and therefore their sin was utterly without excuse. Ah, me! I fear that we have many around us still, who know, but do not act on their knowledge; who do not wish to be convinced and converted, but harden themselves against known duty and plain right.

What was more, what these people were forced to see they would not acknowledge. They sullenly held their tongues when they were bound to speak. Does it not happen to many persons that the gospel forces itself upon their belief? They feel that they could not conjure up an argument against the divine truth which is set before them: the word comes with such demonstration that it smites them with sledge-hammer force; but they do not intend to admit its power, and so they brace themselves up to bear the blow without yielding. They shut their months against the water of life which is held up to them in the golden cup of the gospel. No child could shut his teeth more desperately against medicine than they against the gospel. Any man may take a horse to the water, but ten thousand cannot make him drink, and this is proved in many a hearer of the word. There sat these Scribes and Pharisees: it is a wonder that the stones did not cry out against them, they were so doggedly determined not to admit that which they could not deny. Are there none of that breed among us still?

More than that, while they would not see what was so plain, they were diligently seeking to spy out flaws and faults where there were none, namely, in the Lord Jesus. So there are many who profess that they cannot understand the gospel, but they have understanding enough to cavil at it, and cast slurs upon it. They have a cruelly keen eye for non-existent errors in Scripture: they find this mistake in Deuteronomy, and the other in Genesis. What great wisdom, to be diligent in making discoveries against one's own eternal interests! The gospel of the Lord Jesus is man's only hope of salvation: what a pity to count it the height of cleverness to destroy our only hope!

Spurgeon's Sermon "Jesus Angry with Hard Hearts"

Luke 16:31
"He said to him, 'If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.' "
